We use coated 16 gauge steel welded wire rolled fencing that is 2 foot wide with 2” x 3” rectangular mesh openings. We attach the wire fencing at the base of the coop and all the way around the outer perimeter. This protects from burrowing animals.

We build and install a door frame and then install a chicken sized door that will allow chickens to exit the run to free range during the day. Just choose the location and we'll get it done!

We can install 2 roost bars in the run area. Typically we install on the end opposite the hen house. (Not to be confused with the roost bars that are installed in the hen house that are included in the coop price.)
