I paid my deposit, what happens next?

When we receive your deposit via Venmo or Check we will confirm receipt using text, phone call, or email, whichever is your preference. At this time we will discuss your coop selection, your door location preferences and, any other options you desire. We will also provide you with an approximate install date and requirements for your pad preparation.

Coop placement.

Having visual contact with your coop is very important to many people. The visual connection is therapeutic. If this is the case with you, place the coop where the hen house is to the back of your view. This way you can see the chickens in the run.

When placing your coop consider where the sun rises and sets. If you have the option place the Hen House doors to the West. Include fencing or foliage for visual enhancements as well as sun and wind blocks. Our coops with metal roofs and extreme ventilation are designed to stay cool in the summer. You will love your coop so much you may even want to establish an outdoor space around the coop.

Site preparation for your coop.

A pad that is 8' wider and 8' longer than your coop is optimal. That gives us room for using a ladder safely during construction and gives you level space around your coop. Please use a builders level or laser level to ensure pad is properly leveled. .Add 2-4" inches of sand on top of your soil to make good drainage and a healthy environment for your poultry. Please ensure your lot is in an area where there is no risk of flooding. Avoid extra charges by having your site ready when we arrive for your install.
